After surviving a widow maker heart attack, COVID, and C-Diff, Brian Maltese—also known as Mr. Drop Shot!—has found a deeper purpose that goes beyond competition. He is now committed to the tennis and pickleball communities, leveraging his near death experience and mental health struggle as a vehicle for supporting meaningful causes and promoting healthier, more satisfying lives rooted in balance, connection, and well-being both on and off the court.

I believed I was following the eating and exercise guidelines we were always instructed to, but my mind, body and soul revealed a different truth.

A tennis event, wellness education, and hydration brand that originated from a life-threatening heart attack.

• Routine blood tests, stress evaluations, and heart monitoring did not avert a widow maker heart attack.

• The use of antibiotics during illness threw my gut health off balance—without any prior notice or direction, causing a near death gut infection known as C-Diff.

• Post-Covid autoimmune complications - Being informed that nothing substantial can really be done, just manage it with medication.

• I discovered that health is not a one-size-fits-all situation.

  While doctors are vital, genuine wellness also demands self-awareness.

  Paying attention to your body, supporting nutrition, and making mindful lifestyle choices are important.

I have been presented with a fresh opportunity in life—not solely for my own benefit, but to assist others as well.
