About Mr. Drop Shot!
Welcome fellow tennis warriors and tennis enthusiasts! My name is Brian, AKA Mr. Drop Shot!, and tennis has been my life for as long as I can remember. From my grueling college matches to rising to the 5.0 level, the court has been my sanctuary, my teacher, and my home. I’ve always prided myself on being a tennis warrior, health nut, eating “clean,” exercising daily, and following all the rules for living well—or so I thought.
Then life served me an unexpected health challenge: a widow-maker heart attack in 2014. I was rushed into surgery with only a 12% survival rate. Surviving a widow maker heart attack is a life-altering experience that reshapes one’s perspective on health and existence. This type of heart attack, caused by a blockage in the left anterior descending artery, is notoriously fatal for many. However, those who make it through often gain a newfound appreciation for life. Recovery involves not just physical healing but also emotional and mental adjustments. Many survivors like myself are motivated to advocate for heart health, sharing their stories to raise awareness about the importance of lifestyle choices and early detection of warning signs.
Embracing a healthier lifestyle becomes a priority, as they understand firsthand the fragility of life. Each day is seen as a precious gift, prompting them to cherish moments with loved ones and to pursue passions once overshadowed by daily routines. For these individuals, every heartbeat signifies resilience and a chance to start anew.
Through my recovery, I uncovered the truth about health—a truth that’s not always "served" up in headlines or by the so-called experts. I learned that being truly healthy requires more than just diet and exercise. It’s about understanding your body, mind & soul, getting the right tests done, and taking charge of your health like it’s match point.
I’m on a mission to help all my fellow tennis warriors,—warriors like you—live vibrant, healthy lives both on and off the court. Through my personal story, I aim to empower you to: Love Yourself, Love Others, Serve with Purpose, & Use Your Talents to Make a Small Change in the World That Can Change Just One Person's Life.
